Born and based in France, Marion Schneider, also known as Mioune, is a remote mezzo-soprano vocalist and lyricist specializing in soundtrack music. She has recorded for several video games since 2015, such as Edge Of Eternity, Horns Of Fear, and more recently, Temtem and Temtem: Swarm.

Since 2007, she has also covered songs from video games and anime series on YouTube. As of today, her videos have been viewed more than 10 million times.

In 2014, her creativity earned third prize from renowned Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu at the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call – Legacy of Music contest, where participants proposed an arrangement of the famous Prelude theme from the series. Mioune has also collaborated with Grammy Award-winning music producer Charlie Peacock in 2021, improvising vocals on a track.

Since 2015, she has been remotely recording her vocals for soundtrack composers. She has worked on various kinds of projects, including indie video games, web series (Amélia et le mystère du lycée de Lerne in 2018), and audiobooks (L'artisan Meurtrier in 2021, Les Irradiés d'Egavar in 2022 and Cogito Ergo Vivo in 2024). Her latest work is a collaboration with Crema's audio director Damián Sánchez on the Spanish video game Temtem: Swarm, which features her vocals on every track of the OST. Since 2022, she has been wrtiting lyrics and recording several tracks for an upcoming, unannounced video game soundtrack.

A PASSION FOR WORDS & LANGUAGES

Mioune is also a lyricist and writes original lyrics in English and French. She has written several theme songs for video games soundtracks, including the track "Song Of Eternity", which she co-wrote with Cédric Menendez, the composer of Edge Of Eternity.

Furthermore, she's a transcreator and has written hundreds of French adaptations, which she has posted on her YouTube channel. Doing so since 2007 has given her a solid experience in transcreation. Today, she can seamlessly adapt any foreign song to her mother tongue. Notably, her French adaptation of "Mononoke Hime" from the Ghibli movie Princess Mononoke is studied in music classes in some French schools.

Academically, Mioune obtained a Master’s Degree in Linguistics with highest honors in 2011. During those two years, she studied phonetics and phonology and can now read and use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). This knowledge, along with her trained ear, enables her to sing in many languages. In 2016, using lyrics written in IPA, she recorded the track "Maherian Dreams" in a fictional language created for the video game Shiness, The Lightning Kingdom. She also recorded the track "Sacred Lake" in Japanese for the video game Temtem in 2021.

In addition to remotely recording her vocals, Mioune also performs live and has sung on stage numerous times since a young age, which has made her comfortable performing in front of an audience.

Between 2015 and 2019, she was particularly invited to perform at many Japan-related conventions in France and Belgium. In 2015, she was honored to sing "Celes's Theme" from Final Fantasy VI in front of Yoshitaka Amano, the renowned artist behind all the logos for the entire Final Fantasy series.
